About Dory’s Den

Hi, I’m Kerrie 🐾

I’m a lifelong animal lover with an keen interest in feline behaviour and wellbeing. Dory’s Den was inspired by my cat, Dory, and my desire to understand cats more deeply — not just what they do, but why they do it.

Alongside my specialist study and training in feline behaviour and care, I’m also a psychologist in the human world, where understanding behaviour and the many factors that influence it has long been part of my professional life.

Through Dory’s Den, I hope to help people understand the individual behind the behaviour, work through behaviour challenges, and support their cat’s wellbeing.

Pet Loss Grief Support

The loss of an animal can be deeply painful, and you do not have to navigate that grief alone.

I’ll offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about your loss, the relationship you shared, and what they meant to you.

Is my behaviour approach right for you and your cat?

Finding the right support for you and your cat is important. My approach may be a good fit for you if you’re looking for support that:

  • Looks beyond the behaviour to understand what your cat may be communicating.

  • Recognises your cat as an individual, with their own personality, preferences, and boundaries.

  • Considers their emotional and physical wellbeing, as well as their environment and experiences.

  • Offers thoughtful, realistic guidance that fits everyday life.

  • Supports positive change without compromising your cat’s sense of safety or choice.

  • Helps you feel more confident in understanding and supporting your cat.
